"Let me first say that our trip to Port Antonio was amazing on every level and I would not change anything about it. I have been to most places on the Island but never Port Antonio and it is truly my favourite place in the Caribbean.

The villa was fantastic and I we enjoyed every minute of our time at the Villa. Most days we just wanted to relax and spend time on such an amazing property. Everything about it was absolutely perfect. The view, the pool, the rooms, the decorations, the art, the quality and most of all the staff. We really felt sad when we left the villa because we enjoyed the staff so much. Ms. V is a great cook and such a sweet lady who took care of us all week. Everton was so sweet and nice and always there to try and help if we needed anything. Claudia and Tanika were so helpful and kind and always made sure we were happy and comfortable. We miss them!

Our Driver was Andrew and he was a highlight of the trip. Andrew went out of his way to make us feel safe and comfortable at all times. He took us to the markets, the beach, the falls,….pretty much wherever we wanted to go. I consider him a friend and communicate with him regularly. In fact, when I come back to Jamaica I wouldn't hire another driver, it must be with him. I think Andrew took it upon himself to make sure we received local knowledge and also was friendly enough that we loved having him with us.

While in Port we traveled to Reach Falls, the markets, a few of the beaches, the Rio Grande and many other local places. I just love this town so much. The drive from Kingston is an adventure but one that is so worth it, you really get to see what inland JA is all about!

I have heard that the owner of the Villa is not going to be renting out the entire house again and while I understand I would be lying if I said this did not make me sad that others cannot enjoy this amazing place. I am hopefully that if we want to return he would consider grandfathering us in as returning guests!!!!

Please feel free to share this info with anyone but especially the staff. Each and everyone of them deserves to be appreciated for who they are, we truly miss them and talk fondly of them almost daily. "

"This was our second – of what I'm sure – will be many stays at The Wharf House Villa. We got married there on our first stay in 2008. We were greeted warmly by the staff and it was wonderful to see them again – the experience was like coming to a home away from home.

Our luggage was whisked away to our room and my husband and I had a cold drink and some scrumptious sandwiches on the deck overlooking the water before going with our driver to the airport to pick up the rest of our guests.

Upon return from the airport it was awesome for us to witness the other guest's reactions to visiting Wharf House for the first time. Because the thing is – you can try and tell people what it looks like, how beautiful it is, how perfect the staff is and how pampered and special they make you feel, how delectable the food is – but really no words can adequately capture the experience. A mere hour into the week at Wharf House – they all understood and saw for themselves what we had been trying for months to convey to them.

Wharf House is beautiful – classic – comfortable – tasteful.

Early mornings, coffee cup in hand, walking on the deck – looking into the water at fish and starfish and watching the sunrise - hands down the best way to start any day. Lounging in the sun on the deck in the afternoon, going snorkeling off the beach, taking the sea kayak out – it was hard to want to go anywhere else (although Round Hill Resort was close and the amazing added perk that it always is….). I read once that Round Hill was like a cashmere sweater and it's a perfect description! Evenings spent playing board games, listening to music and just talking on the deck with the stars above and the lights of Montego Bay across the way…

Tony (the butler) was a new addition to the staff since we were there last and he's a keeper! He took care of things and us before we even knew we needed it. If asked also, he's an absolute encyclopedia on the history of Jamaica. And Valerie? This woman can cook! Meal after meal, course after course – left you wondering – how can she even top this? And then – next meal comes and she somehow does. She should be on Top Chef.

Sharon is the housekeeper and the following story says all that needs to be said about her attention to detail – My husband jokingly mentioned to her that she made a bed with such precision that it took him almost all night to kick his feet out from under the sheets. That very night when we went into our room to go to sleep – in addition to the top of the bed being turned down and that fantastic cool pitcher of water with glasses being placed on our nightstand, the bottom of his side of the bed was turned up! That says it all – except for the fact that she's also an absolutely lovely woman. Leisha, the laundress, took impeccable care, as always, of our clothes. We wear a lot of silk and linen in Jamaica – which are not the easiest of fabrics to take care of—Leisha dealt with it all to perfection!

And Peadove? The grounds were as gorgeous as ever! And he answered (with a smile always) every single question that we had about trees, flowers, birds and fish – that we had. Being around Peadove just makes you smile.

Jamaican Treasures is an awesome company to book a villa through. Easy – helpful – quick to respond to emails and calls – very patient in answering whatever questions arise. Thanks Lisa and Christina and all!

We travelled around Jamaica for another three weeks and stayed at a variety of places and have concluded that the villa experience can't be topped.

We'll be back to the Wharf House – sooner than last time! "

"I just wanted to drop you a quick note and tell you how wonderful our stay at Island House was. The staff, as usual, absolutely made the vacation extra special. Lovina was a fantastic cook and so easy going. Marjorie kept the house perfect and really took care of us with love and humor. Ralpert does an amazing job with the yard… the rolling lawn, flowers and trees are so beautiful and the pool was always clean and refreshing. We always enjoy Tryall and are so blessed to have the opportunity to experience that level of rest and relaxation. On my last day, I was driving about on the golf cart, taking care of last minute stuff, and unbeknownst to me, my wallet slid out of the cart as I drove up the little hill on Copper Ridge Road. I was so focused on keeping my busy son in the cart, that I didn't even see it or hear it go. Just as I was to turn into our driveway, another cart came up behind me with a young woman named Marie from Wheel House, and a sweet Rasta man who works on property. They had been behind us and found the wallet…. They chased me all the way down to Island House to return it. I was so grateful that they had taken the time to help me, I would have been in big trouble without that wallet! I have to tell you, I was not in the least surprised at their honesty and kindness… in my many trips to Jamaica I have consistently been pleased with the honor of the Jamaican people I have been lucky enough to encounter. I cannot wait for our next trip to Tryall… we are so in love with the place. Thank you again for making it so simple for us to enjoy such a perfect vacation. I will hopefully be in touch soon to plan our next rest."

"It was a great stay.

Karma Bay is beautiful. The layout is very unique and fit our family well. We enjoyed the furnishings and the outdoor sitting spaces were magnificent. The staff couldn't have been better. We stayed at a different villa last year and it was nice but Karma Bay is many levels above it. The staff at Karma Bay was outstanding. Everyone was pleasant and very capable. We especially enjoyed Marcia's cooking and Michael's attentiveness to every detail and his kindness was amazing. My children really enjoyed interacting with all the staff. Patrick was always quick to smile and laugh and really made our family feel at home. Andrea and Katharine did a wonderful job. We did not travel much around Jamaica. We did go to the zip line place with the kids really enjoyed.

We would definitely recommend Karma Bay. "

"We had a wonderful time at Summerhill. The villa was beautiful. The kids had a blast. It was so nice for them to be able to eat breakfast and then jump into the pool! I think they spent most of their time in the pool. The Palmyra beach was beautiful and not very crowded at all. We went there a few times, especially since it was so close and we had a driver. We did make the trek to Negril. I'm not sure I would do that again with the kids. I was a little disappointed with the Negril beaches. We did go to Rick's Cafe and see the cliff divers and then went to a nearby restaurant that was absolutely gorgeous. I think it was called the Rock House or Roadhouse. It was there that we were able to view the beautiful sunset. The adults had a chance to dine at a couple of restaurants - Sugarmill and Houseboat. Sugarmill was average at best and expensive. The Houseboat was excellent.

The staff at Summerhill were very pleasant and hardworking. The chef prepared delicious meals.

I would definitely recommend Summerhill, especially for families with young children and for groups of families. You and your staff have made our trip planning very easy. I appreciate that you answered our barrage of questions with promptness and professionalism. Thank you for all your help! "

"I am not thrilled to be back from my vacation, as you can imagine. I had a very good time in Jamaica. I had brought one of my friends down with me and it was her first time visiting the island. She also had a great time.

The villa was lovely. The pictures on the site did do it justice. I was expecting a beautiful, comfortable place and that is what I got. Ms. Winsome and Vin are great people. We enjoyed her cooking and company. Vin always made us feel comfortable and safe.

I can say that the place was always kept very clean and welcoming.

My only complaint is that the wireless internet was in the guest house instead of the villa. So in order for us to use it we would have to go out on the porch or down by the pool (computers and pool area, not a good idea) and hope that it was connecting at that point in time. That was the only inconvenience to me, as I had professors that I needed to communicate with. Other than that we had a great trip. We enjoyed all the festivities that the Easter season had to offer. I did get a rental car so getting around the island was very easy for me. I now consider myself a Certified Jamaican Driva.

I would definitely recommend Sun Villa to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Jamaica. I am thinking about returning another time in the future.

He was a great person to talk to. Ms. Winsome always made us feel like we were at home. I really miss the both of them. I have met some new friends in the both of them. "

"I am Dino and we rented the stone harbour over the March break with Mike and his family. we all had a wonderful time. The villa and staff were absolutely perfect. What we appreciated in the villa was the numerous sitting areas so that we all did not feel on top of each other. At the same time the communal areas like the dinner table and the large living room couch could accommodate all of us quite well. The grounds and the pool were fantastic. The pool was great and tony was extra considerate and made sure in the evening the Jacuzzi was nice and warm. Of course the beach and the proximity of the reef were big highlights. We snorkelled every day. We were also blessed with sunny days and very warm water. Calm days allowed us to explore the reef but later in the week the sea kicked up and the kids and I had a super time body surfing for hours on the beautiful horse beach to the east of us. We walked to Dunns fall and climbed the falls several times. We also took a day trip with the hired bus and driver to Port Antonio and did a long fun river raft excursion. We also went in to Ocho Rios twice. Sade was kind and fed us well. Joy, tony and second was equally helpful and always had a smile and a laugh to share. Probably one thing that could be improved was the experience with our bus driver "Bow Wow". He was very kind and professional but it would have been nice if he provided some tourist information about the sights throughout our drive to Port Antonio. he however did go out of his way when we had to make a quick medical stop for my son in Ocho Rios on the way back. He was patient and waited for us even though it was well past quitting time. Sade also stayed late that night and ensured we were all fed and taken care of before she left. You should definitely promote the fact that the reef is so close and that the guests can take in this wonderful activity. Having the kayaks was a must a provided access to it anytime we wanted. Tony actually managed to borrow another double kayak for our use for the full week which was a added bonus as we didn't have to hear the kids fight as to who gets to go first.

I should let you know that the toilet in the master bedroom was leaking slightly, that is the main cap which drains the tank that closes after flushing was not sealing 100% therefore fresh water was running slightly but continuously. This can run up the water bill over time and wastes precious fresh water. Also as the main villa gets locked up at night the staff should formally go over appropriate fire drill action during the introductions. I would and have recommended the villa to many friends already. "

"We had an amazing time in Jamaica. Mount Corbett is beautiful, very accommodating of our large group. The staff were superb, in particular Omar and the new chef Simone. She cooked everything we requested, and Omar took great care of us. When not at the beach, we spent most of our days on the wraparound porch or on the tennis court. Would definitely recommend this house -- comfortable for all 18 of us, great views, nice amenities, we had no complaints.

We visited Dunn's River Falls, which was nice but touristy -- other than that we checked out the local beaches for snorkelling, diving, and kitesurfing.

"Olivia and I had an amazing time at Ms. P's Place. The Villa is perfect; everything I hoped it would be - a slice of old-time Jamaica with a pool! I luxuriated in the view every morning on the veranda , rocking away, with a cup of sublime Jamaican coffee in hand!

Ms. Becky and Ms. Christine are gems - Ms. Becky's first thing was to show off the uniquely beautiful "jade vine" arbor in the back yard - how she knew I was a garden nut, I don't know - but that did it! We hit it off. She and Christine made us feel right at home and saw to our every need. Let me tell you - that aloe stem came in very handy after I sat talking in the sun and burned a bit! You know what they say - "mad dogs and English men go out in the noon day sun".

Okay - so the crab racing was hilarious, not to mention the karaoke night - wow! LOL

I have enjoyed several visits to Silver Sands over the past 19 years - Ms. P's rates first place; I would definitely recommend this villa to all my friends and family. The accommodations were right on; modern Jamaican, well kept, all the right details and evening entertainment - we loved having the DVD/CD at our disposal.

I'm plotting now how to get back to Ms. P's and Jamaica before too long. Simply a lovely respite. Thanks very much to all, especially you and Ms. Becky!"

"We had a wonderful time. Like last year, the house and staff were terrific. In fact, I know that some of the staff were new last year and this year they all seemed very polished and ran the house like pros. Avis and Gregory went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time and my kids are still talking about Adrian! A random aside, one of my boys was very sick with an ear infection and high fever. The nurse at Tryall was great and we had a doctor from Montego Bay at the villa w/in a few hours to examine my son and get medicine. "We enjoyed our vacation very much. The villa was perfect for our needs, we loved being close to the beach, and how quiet and safe the location is.... and the staff were fantastic (it took a couple days to get used to being taken care of!) We would recommend the villa to others looking for a relaxing family vacation.

We will definitely look for a villa next time we are booking a trip, and we particularly LOVED having the cooking included in the price!!!

Our only comments would be to put a 'light shade' facing the house on the security lights so they glow away from the house. The lights at night glow directly into the two back bedrooms and make it very bright, I found it tricky to get used to as I'm used to sleeping in the dark.

My only other comment would be to try cleaning the couch/cushions in front of the tv, some of us were sensitive to the mold/mildew on this couch (previous guests must have sat on the couch wet maybe or spilled drinks),other than this small suggestion, the house was very cozy, warm and welcoming. We love the setup of the common room, lots of space for everyone, with separate, quiet bedrooms - it was the perfect house with all the windows, doors and the patio is beautiful.

Thanks to the owner and particularly the staff for providing us with the perfect trip! If there weren't so many places in the world to see, we would come back every year."

"Yes... so glad to hear from you.... The mini getaway for my 50th was amazing. Victorine and Karlene really did a great job in making us feel at home..And even worked behind my back some magic.. Karlene backed a double chocolate Birthday cake and my friends decorated the villa with balloons, streamers,etc. The villa is in a great location and we all loved that we had separate bedrooms. The pool area was a great relaxation spot and in the evening we went down to the crab races on Friday night. The only let-down was that had we known that there was a live band on Thursday nights - we would have gone to dance. Possibly- a list of activities for that week could be supplied to the guests when they arrive so that they don't missing anything going down at the beach bar. The water at the beach was warm, and there were always lounge chairs available too. We were able to get live lobster from Tom for our final night as a special dinner and we tried the jerk chicken twice. Karlene made us ginger shrimp one evening too which was amazing. I would definitely recommend this villa to others, so is there a spot to send that in on the website? Lastly, the villa was in the perfect location from the airport, only 45 minutes and we were there. Having Billie Cain pick us up was also a treat..and he also reconfirmed with us the day before going home - so we had no worries. I am not sure when any of us will return to Jamaica but if we did - most of us said a villa vacation would be the way to go. For now we are up to our knees in snow-drifts and just hoping for spring. If you would like I can send a picture or two of our trip - it might be worth sharing with those thinking about going."

"We stayed at Tropical Spice from February 10th to February 15th; please see my review below: Words can't describe the experience we had at Tropical Spice. Both villas are not only beautiful and decorated perfectly, but they are immaculately clean. The grounds are manicured to precision. The staff operated as efficiently and attentively to that of a Five Star Hotel. The difference between the Five Star Hotel and Tropical Spice is that at Tropical Spice you are treated as family not as one-time guests. Althea, Juliette, Chef Goody, O'Brian, and Jack make up a staff that I believe truly is impossible to beat. Althea, the villa manager, was not only one of the most incredibly efficient people I have ever met, but more importantly loving and caring. Our every need was met by Althea, even when we weren't quite sure what that was…and if you are planning on going over a holiday, expect nothing but personal touches and unforgettable memories. We celebrated Valentine's Day, my husband Ryan and I (Tracy Fauls), along with our friends Todd and Tracey Dreby, and we couldn't believe our eyes! Let's put it this way, we invited Althea to come visit us about 100 times a day! She even called overseas to make sure we made it home safely. We miss her every day. Juliette was never seen without a smile and a hug to give and kept the Villas looking pristine and shiny! Not once was anything out of order, there were always fresh towels, dishes cleaned, and floors glistening. Chef Goody makes you never want to attempt to cook another dish in your life, because nothing will compare to his cooking. We had breakfast lunch and dinner at the Villa everyday for six days straight and each meal was better than the next. Chef was even kind enough to allow us to come into his kitchen to teach us how he prepared the fish, which by the way, there was never anything left but the bones! Chef was warm and professional and his kitchen was spotless. O'Brian was our bartender; he taught us how to say "Ya Mon" even though we don't sound nearly as cool as him. He treated us as special friends and put a smile on our face every time we saw him. If we were by the pool he came to us, we didn't need to move to have a wonderfully delicious drink in front of us. We also tried to recruit O'Brian to come visit us in the states. Last but certainly not least is Jack, the groundskeeper. Jack keeps the grounds looking like a tropical oasis! The pool looks like a screen saver – every day! Jack taught us the different plant life on the Villa grounds as well as introduced us to fruit native to the island. Jack's smile would melt your heart and we were excited every time we saw him. One last item I would like to mention that I think is equally as important was the safety that you felt and the protection that was given to us during your stay. There was security every single night. The front and back gates were locked and your private beach and bar; were genuinely yours, no one was bothering you or invading your privacy and if anyone came too close, Althea was there to protect our privacy and well being. If the above doesn't sum it up, our next booking of the villa should, Tropical Spice was our dream vacation and our home away from home. I have been visiting Jamaica with my family since I was a little girl and would never return without Tropical Spice being my destination! Thank you so much for opening your doors and your hearts to us! See you soon same time next year….if not sooner! "I had meant to email you sooner, but quickly got busy at work upon my return. We had a fantastic time at Scotch on the Rocks, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a villa vacation in Jamaica. The house itself is delightful -- painted a lovely turquoise -- like the color of the sea. The gardens are filled with wonderful tropical flowers and planting. The furnishings are of a very high standard. The multiple decks with their sea views are beyond description. Having your own swimming dock that you can jump off of into the warm water is also a special treat. The house has all the modern conveniences -- new flat screen tvs, many cable channels, and wireless that worked very well. But what really sets Scotch on the Rocks apart is the genuine kindness of the staff. They were just wonderful. Cherry and Elvis are great cooks. I could go on for days about how terrific the food was. Bryan was terrific and made us excellent rum punch. Pauline and Henry also took wonderful care of us. My advice to any visitor would be: Just leave yourself in the capable hands of the SCoR team and you will be well taken care of. I also want to mention that the staff of Jamaican Treasures was wonderful to deal with -- always answering my questions promptly and cheerfully. Jamaican Treasures connected us with a wonderful driver, Ferdinand Gordon, who also took great care of us. I truly hope I can return someday soon."

"Hi Lisa, Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your email. Villa Sur Mer was fabulous. Our guests and I were treated extremely well by the majority of the staff:

1. Magonna, the property manager, was very attentive to our needs. She was always available when we were in need and she was extremely gracious to all of our guests, those staying both at the villa as well as at the cottages. She also made sure that everything we needed for our wedding was taken care of, and did so in a very timely manner. Additionally, Magonna welcomed each of our guests personally as they arrived which was very nice.

2.The night security guard (Roy) and the groundsman (Richard) were also very helpful and went beyond their job responsibilities to ensure that we were all comfortable, safe and well-looked after. If we needed anything after-hours, they always knew how to help us and were more than willing to help us.

3. Our housekeeper, Donna, also ensured that our every need was met and was very polite and helpful in all of her interactions with the 12 people occupying the villa. She went out of her way to ensure the comfort of every single guest at the villa. Also, she made sure to always ask me if there was anything that I needed; I never had to find her to solve a problem/ask a question, she was always around to address our needs. She also made sure to welcome all of our guests as they arrived, which was very much appreciated.

4. Charlie, our driver, was excellent. Not only was he available at all times, he also had very valuable suggestions for our guests as to where to go and what to see while in Negril.

5. In terms of staff, our only complaint was with Donnayue (spelling??), the chef at the villa. Although the food that he prepared was excellent, and everyone raved about the quality of what he made, during his down time when he was not actively preparing a meal, he would sit down in our living room using the phone, the computer or watching the TV. Even when our guests wished to use either the internet or the telephone, or watch TV, Donnayue would not offer his seat nor discontinue his use of whichever medium was desired for use by our guest. Also, if someone was on the phone and he was watching TV, he would not turn the volume down nor turn off the TV so that the person on the phone could carry on an audible telephone conversation. Finally, as hostess for the week, I had asked Donnayue to prepare snacks for the villa occupants during the middle of the day on one occasion, and he told me that he didn't have the time at the present moment because he was too involved in a game that he was playing-I found this to be very disrespectful. We did though appreciate the food that he prepared, as it was delicious and included several recipes that were unfamiliar to us. Brunch and dinner every day were served on time and at the perfect temperature.

Although I personally did not get an opportunity to see much of Negril as I was very busy hostessing and preparing for the wedding, most of our guests saw quite a bit of the area was fell in love with beauty of their surroundings.

Thanks again for all of you help in locating Villa Sur Mer. We, and all of our guests, had a fantastic week and enjoyed a beautiful wedding. "

"Blue Shutters worked out very well for us. The staff was great! They surprised us by finding a Christmas tree and decorating it so that we would have a place to put the gifts we brought with us. The food was interesting and presenting very professionally. Delroy fixed us a variety of food and took pains to make the table look as beautiful as the food. Carol was a cheerful and kind worker, doing many thoughtful things for us without being asked. Eric also worked hard to keep the grounds looking picture perfect. He kindly answered my many questions about the plants around us and even found an ackee plant to bring to us to show us one component of the national dish. Our security guard, Reagan, showed us some Jamaican dances and answered my son's many questions about Jamaican music.

The water was warm for swimming and the weather was beautiful. We had an interesting small reef just off the property that we enjoyed snorkelling over every day. The hammock was a popular spot that was not empty often. We also enjoyed what I called the "cement pond". Sitting around the hot tub sized pool sipping a Red Stripe beer or a Pina Colada was heavenly after a morning snorkelling swim. The covered patio was lovely and where we spent a lot of time eating, lounging on the couches and playing games. We visited Ocho Rios once with Delroy as our guide, but we really didn't want or need to go anywhere and that was heavenly after such a stressful autumn.

I have recommended you and this property to another family that is considering a trip to recover from family illness and deaths, as we were. We feel relaxed and restored after our lovely trip to Jamaica. "

"Thanks a lot for the follow-up. In general, I have to admit that we had great time. The week we spent in Jamaica allowed me (and the rest of the family) to get acquainted with the previously unknown and unexplored culture. Certainly, one week is a ridiculously short period to make any serious statement(s). Nevertheless, I'm very happy with my decision to rent a car instead of relying on the taxi or a driver. While driving on Jamaican roads is by itself a memorable experience that reminded me to some extent driving in Eastern Europe, it was the freedom of choice when destinations and routes had to be picked.

The latter allowed us to see a different Jamaica, the one that has not been limited or restricted to any given resort.

Needless to say, your country is beautiful!

Our time at Cannon Cottage left us with some mixed impressions. Location of the villa is simply perfect. Close to the ocean (no need to look for anything closer to the beach) and yet far enough to allow privacy and distance from the typical beach dwellers.

The place seems to be safe enough as security staff was always there, day or night.

The villa is neat, clean and has an awesome garden. Big kudos to the housekeeper and the gardener.

Would we return? I guess this is a major question to ask. My answer is "yes", but I would like to explore some other villas first.

"Boca del Rio was very beautiful, pleasant and memorable. We all enjoyed our stay. Away from the windows in the living room being hard to open and close, from the inside everything was nice.

We had our personal driver and bus that took us on day trips, then we would return to have great food and play games at the villa. Your staff was great, they were just what we needed to complete our wonderful trip. Keisha was awesome she took time out to ensure that everyone was happy, comfortable and welcomed. She did more than we were expecting, very resourceful and quick thinking. Gregory was one of a kind, he was helpful and had great humour that kept everyone appreciating him more. Sad to say we all wanted to stay but had to get on the plane to return to our homes and waiting jobs.

Again, both at the villa and the beach club, the food was ten fold what I am used to there. I am so happy that this trip was such a success and I got a chance to show nine people something so surreal, so magnificent, and it is all thanks to you and all you did in helping me prepare for the trip. Rose cottage surpassed all ten of our expectations and gave us the trip of a life time. "We had a really wonderful stay at Wharf House!! We loved having our own little "compound" of tropical paradise to enjoy!! The staff was really great, and they all made us feel very much at home in their home community!! We made it over to Round Hill a couple of times, but that is about as far as we went. We really just wanted to "chill" during this vacation, and this is exactly what we did. Round Hill was really lovely, and we enjoyed playing tennis and going to the spa over there.
